Hello and welcome to my website.

My name is Jenny Lawrence, a qualified counsellor working in Milton Keynes.
For many years I have worked with those experiencing relationship breakdown in the Milton Keynes area. This can come in the form of divorce, separation, loss of friendship or family communication breakdown.
For some this loss of relationship can feel similar to a bereavement leaving people feeling lost, guilty and anxious about the future. These difficult feelings can have a detrimental affect our health and well-being.
I have also worked as a counsellor for carers in Milton Keynes. In this field I work with those who due to unexpected circumstances, have found themselves as carers for elderly or disabled family members.
Unexpected life changes can feel overwhelming and sometimes lead to depression, feelings of guilt, isolation and loss of personal identity. These situations often arise without prior warning. Those affected don’t have a chance to adjust properly, which can take its toll on our mental health.
Through our counselling sessions we can look at ways to help you come to terms with these major life changes, giving you the opportunity to process what is happening and adjust more positively to a new way of life.
My qualifications are:
- CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
- CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
- CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
- CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
- CPCAB Introduction to Counselling
In addition to the above I have also completed a Gottman Institute relationship training course and The Counselling Academy couples counselling training. I also attend regular Continued Professional development courses.
I am DBS checked
I am an accredited member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework. More information is available here: http://www.bacp.co.uk
